The Soil Association Food for Life initiative and award.

Food for Life is an award  issued by the Soil Association which guides schools through a 'whole school approach' to food.

Schools are encouraged to grow their own food; organise trips to farms; provide cooking and growing clubs for pupils and their families; serve freshly prepared, well-sourced meals and provide an attractive dining environment.

Lindley Infant School is proud to be classified as SILVER 'Food For life served here' standard.

As part of our ongoing committment to Food for Life and Fairtrade, we enjoyed a  whole school Big Breakfast on Thursday 16th November.  We ate porridge with a choice of toppings  (raisins, fairtrade sugar, syrup) and drinking fairtrade orange juice.
